Your AV could be incorrect, mis-diagnosed.
While setting up a brand new laptop at work i ran a scan using norton, it popped up saying it found a trojan, on a new laptop.

Lol...i just ran a scan and found nilch plus no messages came up for me so i think its having you on matey...

Avast is alright but the gui is based on a car stereo so imo is crap!

You can't expect freeware to be amazing. Take it on the chin that it's thought something was a virus but isn't!
Kaspersky says theres nothing, and I trust that because its not free. ;)

Norton never sees problems, it's useless, yet for some reason i still have it :S
