i spend £45 a week on petrol how can i save my money and save petrol apart from driving less ;)

Look ahead and anticipate - by being able to lift off and slow in plenty of time you may not have to accelerate away from a dead stop as often. Use the handbrake - don't hold the car on the clutch for those "Grand Prix startz"

Switch off all unnecessary ancillaries - if your ice is taking a proportion of the engine's output just for the "bangin, phat toonz" then turn it down.

Ensure your tyres are correctly inflated and close the windows to reduce drag.

ur never gonna save loads, if your on 45 and driving a lil over average, then tone down to driving slower and less accel your only gonna end up saving about 2 odd £ so its not really worth it unless you REALLY hammer your car..... then slow down

lol. i spend 10/15 quid at most in a week. unless im travelling somewhere far of course. but have recently started driving a bit slower and you'd be surprised how much petrol you save!

I am trying to get down to a tank a week, but love driving too much :S

I have yet to get £40 in my tank though, even with the light on, I have only got £39,70, (300 miles on that!)and that was overflowing lol!

i run my petrol so low, i did empty to full in my vtr last week 47.5- at 109p per litre ( kinda see how low it was??)

ZS has a smaller tank though, but she is much better on fuel than Suki was!

i used to go out every nite in my car in town and tht but wood never hit the 40 quid mark for petrol lol
