160 miles, at say 40mpg - 4 gallons, 18.2 litres. Roughly £18.93

Say £20 as a ballpark figure.

I'm inclined to agree as that's what I worked out.

80 mph roughly equates to 40 mpg for a 1.1

£18 is about correctomondo-However there may be hold ups on the A roads or Motorways due to accidents/bad weather etc. Gotta plan time of drive etc. wouldn't wanna hit rush hour/s

right, if this helps in any way... when i goto my mate at uni in southampton, its a 110 mile drive each way (95% motorway) plus i do around 20 miles extra on top of that as town driving in soton itself. I can do all of that in my 1.1 on between 1/3 and half a tank. Its about 106.9p/litre around here.

if that is of any help at all???

Noddy
4th April 2008, 23:44
indeed it is - I've had about 450 miles out of a full tank before (nearly all motorway miles avg 85mph) - when i goto soton, i'll sit at 80-90 nearly all the way :)
