what sound card do you have ?
if you dotn know cancers are its onboard.
have you tried turning your computer on and off, fixes so many things youd be surprised.

right

Control panal>performance &maintanance>system>hardware tab>device managerthen sound, video and game controllers, and update all the drivesr there

or maybe try donwloading a codec pack :y:

be easier if u know what sound card u have if its onbourd etc.

if that dont work, your computers broken for good sorry youll have to buy a new one...

it could be so many things, its hard to tell without looking,
wheres the computer from ? manufacture and model number/name? or is it custom made?
what where you doing when the sound cut out?
have you changed it anyway significanlty recently ?

If your using vista, make sure the application is muted, by opening the application (internet browser in this case) and clicking the sound icon in the taskbar, and you should see the application listed, then just make sure it isnt muted.

Will most likely be a Codec issue or Flash player.

Download this:

http://www.free-codecs.com/download/K_Lite_Codec_Pack.htm

see if that helps. If not try re-installing lash Player.

go to Start > Control Panel > Add or Remove Programs

It will either be called Macromedia Flash Player or Adobe Flash Player

Then install the latest copy of flash from here (http://www.softpedia.com/get/Internet/WEB-Design/Flash/Macromedia-Flash-Player.shtml)

It will be either audio codec problem, flash player issue or sound card driver.
1, audio codecs are mostly free have a look arond for them.
2, doubt it is but flash player just reinstall flash, or get latest one at www.adobe.com/go
3, mainly this peroblem, u or another person may have altered settings or tried updating perhaps. i suggest you find your pc cd's when u first got your pc and find the onw called audio driver located.best way. or try and find update for it online. search the make and model on google. should fond one.
ive had this problem few times. its annoying. lol
