All this problem they are having with the torch relays....it does make you wonder sometimes!

What do you think of them?

I think the Chinese government need to wake up and stop ignoring them! Wonder what they are gonna do at the opening ceremony of the Olympics!?!

It doesnt help matters that the chinese government censor everything pretty much. So the people living there don't really have a clue that anything's happening

People really dont know a lot about this issue, e.g. Tibet has had troubles long before this....

All very well saying china does this and that bla bla
but when you look at it, they are very a successful nation

not that I condone the methods on which they run their country

Anyway lets not get into politics :P

Chinese government will no doubt take these critisisms on board... just a matter of when. Its also a bit hypocritical to tell them what to do when we look at our own governments and the amount of lies/deceit we're all fed on a daily basis. I mean, its not like us Westerners go into *cough* oil-filled *cough* Eastern countries to be nice to the locals, eh? LOL. But yeah I'm sure with China's growing influence on the world, their govt will eventually do whats right. I really like the way China, which is a worryingly over-populated and therefore very demanding country, has become economically sound and is definately going places in the future.

Of course protestors have a right to voice concerns, freedom of speech and expression is one of this country's highlights (apparently), but disrupting proceedings (causing trouble at the torch ceremony) won't solve anything.

Just two of many stories about a long line of issues between China and Tibet. Just to give you a picture of the tension between the two. :y:

i work for chinese and they will never go back now.

the way they destroyed 40,000 peoples homes without any form of compensation and 1 weeks notice is disgusting. to make way for the olympics stadium.

those that resisted by protest were held in jail and had the living shit kicked out of them.
some were shot.

most chinese people dont have much and most have not much to eat, but taking away the only thing thier homes aswell is fucking awfull.

china is a brutal country.

homosexuals are shot, and the bill for the bullet is sent to your family.
the above applies to any exocutions.

the country is run by the army, which is very corrupt and the army literally gets away with murder.

from the aove you can guess that im all for the the protests.

just another example how the olympic movement and politics are closely linked.

I wish people would fuck off with the we should boycott stuff though, we train for 4 years in a cycle and more of our life to try and compete in the games only for some fucktards to say we shouldnt because of politics.

if what you said was true about them demolishing 40+k homes with no right comp or anything then the WORLD IS IN THE WRONG, not china, the WORLD, as were lettting them hold the olympics where theyv de homed everyone, so in my mind were WORSE than the chinese as were happy to go along with it rather than saying right were not lettingyou home the olympics

but it all goes down to money and ALWAYS goes down to usa... so usa want to keep china happy means hte uk will bow down and do what ever usa want we aint an independant country any more were a weak multi culutural nation adapting to anyone who comes here and do follow us lead, while they get the benefits off cheaper oil and other supplies and we get nothing other than suicide bombers attacking us aswell
