second time lucky for this post..lol
just spent 3 hours taking the badges off my friends car...what an arse hole they are....badge came off fine its just the sticky crap underneath..ant scratch it off as it leaves marks on paint work..advised wax/polish but that doesnt work.
could it be that she didnt heat it for long enough? 15 ssecs instead of 2-3 mins...
advice on how to get sticky "crap" off greatly appreciated as i want to do mine but i dont wanna make a mess of it as i only got my new car saturday!

I would do yours properly and heat for 2-3 mins as advised, might have less chance of 'sticky crap' left over.
As for hers, try re-heating as Geo said...

Jcook, has the right idear matey,ide try that....
i did re heat hers again and again but i needed something other than a cloth to get it off but everythin sponge wise is to abbrasive..

hairdryer and a credit card
then keep going at it with a cloth and some warm water
then just tcut it
should work fine

brake fluid works well i had the same problem on my old car...
heated it up and got most off and then resorted to brake fluid...
dont use a credit card you need i advise a shitty old clubcard or something i nearly made that mistake... and dont piddle it off with your fingers i did that after heating it up to about 200degrees

My 106 i used thinners, come off in seconds, I use it for tar aswell, Only use if you got original paint thou. Bit off topic. But are the CITROEN and the SAXO badges glued on or got pins, ive been told pins, But i want to de badge it. Help/??:wall:

Heat/tar remover and scrape technique is tried + tested :y:

Took my Citroen badge & the Saxo badge off the other day were just glued on(no holes left)

my old corsa b befor i got the saxo had no badges and i quite liked it... gives that sort of guessing thing... people dont quite no what it is, i could of dropped a v8 in it for all they no...well i couldnt but hey! lol

it really doesnt appeal to me. maybe its because if i see a car driving past and i dont quite know what it is, it does me head in all day thinkin 'liked that car but not sure if it were this or that'
