Basically went into hospital on Monday, was supposed to be a day case, but because a physio wasn't available after 5pm,i couldn't go home :n:
I've had an 'Anthroscopy'. Which is where they make an incision either side of your knee, then stick a camera in there to see what the problem is. They've repaired the cartlidge, and apparently i've torn all my ligaments in the knee! :n: Got a huge brace on my leg,and its strictly none weight baring. Looks like im staying at home for the next 2 weeks minimum.
Gotta go back in 2 weeks to see the consultant, and then I've gotta make another appointment for another operation to repair the ligaments. :n:

Feel sorry for you mate.
Back in March I dislocated my right ankle and broke the third and fourth Metertarlsel.
So my leg's in plaster and I'm using crutches (Non Weight Bearing!).
I feel your pain and discomfort man.

Yeah i mean the being waited on hand n foot for the next 2 weeks is gonna be quality! But at the same time i am not looking forward to all the pain and discomfort. I know that sleeping is gonna be a bitch because this brace has metal rods in it! Not good!

sleeping should be easy peasy, when your doin nothing aswell just sleep whenever theres nothing good on the box lol, you will probs be told to take paracetomol to ease the discomfort

Unlucky, I didn't have to have it operated on thankfully , because the staff in Recuss put the Ankle back so well.

I wish i didnt have to have had it operated on but it was the only thing they could do. i Did it like 2 years ago playing footy, and ive been out of action ever since. So hopefully I'll be back playing next summer :y: Thats the aim anyway. My light at the end of the tunnel lol

I saw worse than that last week at the hospital when they removed my old cast, they found a great big blister, which when they popped it, it kinda oozzeedd out puss and muck.
I'm not normally sqeamish but I did feel very sick and light headed.

yea i had 2 torn
all must suck!!!
just to warn you
the repair is pretty painful
as they take the hamstrings and shorted them
and the bit theyve took out becomes the new ligment
(well thats what they did with mine)
and they will take some out of your good leg to do this
so you get 2 bad legs then :n:

Awww really?! I can cope with one sore leg but two! This guy that im having it done with though is supposed to be one of the best in the country so i know im in safe hands atleast. Not really been told much about whats gonna happen when it comes to the ligament repair as of yet. So cheers for letting me know what i might be in for. Wont be much of a shock if thats what he decides to do :y:
