cobra or toad are the best on the market, not sure on prices tho coz theres lodsa diferent ranges but ya bst bet is to get a CAT 1 which is alarm and imobiliser, also puts ya insurance down abit. smileys/smiley4.gif

ive got a toad alarm on mine it was £275 and has a lot of features like proximity sensor, window, bonnet and tailgate sensor. very good value for money.

i wouldnt go for clifford as i got quoted on a clifford alarm with the same features as my toad one and it was close to a grand!!

i got a clifford concept 300 with window closers, remote start, remote boot pop and remote head lights. If you have only got £200 get a Cobra3193 or a Meta HPA Both great alarms. If you want your insurance to go down you will need to spend around £250 for a 2-1 upgrade alarm.

That is a good price for concept 650. Is it the 650 dual zone or the ultrasonic alarm?

it was for the dual zone,

have to say tho that the place he got it from took 2 days to fit it! and didnt disconnect the old alarm properly till he complained!

end of the day u get what u pay for. ive got the 650 with window closure, boot shock sensor, and lifetime gurentee for the handets, fitted for 700! lol. but that was fitted inside 2 hours at my house with no probs.

it should take around half a day to fit one propaly or that is what i was told at the clifford training day so 2 hours is a bit quick but as long as it work ok smileys/smiley20.gif. And yes you do get what you pay for there are load of cowboys out there fitting alarms and audio to cars, best thing is to use someone that is recomended.

i fit Meta alarms and cobra alarms all day long and have never had any problems. Thay both protect bonnet, boot, doors and glass area and both have a 1 circuit immobiliser for a fual pump cut (low current). both are great alarms and you would be looking at around £200 for 1 fitted. smileys/smiley2.gif
