not sure if they're legal or not, but a group of lads i know all have them in their cars so they can chat to each other in convoys etc. they have handheld ones but obviously you don't have to hold them to you ear to talk into them or listen. do any of you lot do this with your mates too? if so, where did you get them from and for what sort of price? looking to buy like 6 or more, cheers

We did this last year on the scotland trip.(before yacking on phones was illegal)
i think its as bad as being on a mobile if your caught now.
Tesco's walkie talkies seem to work brilliantly over about a mile on the motorway (tried and tested) i think theyre 29.99 for 2 ;) ask "mikecracknell"

Me and my mate bought some for when we're driving ^^

We "Bought it Now" for £30 I think, they're pretty good. We had to get some with 2 seperate chargers though so we can have the Walkie Talkies at ours houses to charge, something you might want to consider?
seems a good idea for convoys etc....could end up dangerous though...
i cant help but think it was inspired by The Fast & Furious.....

more so :
"Are there any exceptions?
A driver may call 999 or 112 in response to a genuine emergency.
Two-way radios are not covered by this offence but other devices for sending or receiving data are included if they are held while driving, i.e a PDA, Blackberry or similar device. "

Well if we do use them then I'm Rubber Duck, as I've got the film Convoy.
Plus thats what I used to call myself on MSN.
Can we do the "Breaker 19, Breaker 19!" thing or not?
