Anyone know how to change the ball joint on the wishbone without a press??

i did this yesterday and i ended up walking to the nearest garage.
i hammered the shit out of it in a vice for 10 minutes.
they pressed out the old and pressed new one in for nothing!
its a 5 minute job for them.

Yeah take it to a garage and get the to press them out. I have heard they can be very stubborn.

Get a proper mans vice like this

Rest the balljoint housing over the vice jaws, so that they are supported, and the balljoint itself has nothing underneath. Then smash it REALLY hard with a large hammer and drift.

Then use the vice and sockets to press the new ones in.

thanks guys....will probly give it a go myself...but knowing my car... nothing is as straight forward as that!!
