Iphone help

right dont know if anyone can help me i got an iphone today off a friend at work and it has installer on it allready but when i click to install a program it says "package download failed:lost network connection"

really dont have a clue what im doing on this either

ok ive connected to my netgear on the wi fi thing

but... now it says package download failed?

This happens to me all the time mate. its just certain apps and stuff it wont let you download because there server is poo. Do other things work?

go back into installer, choose a new app to download, click clear the queue. That should solve it.

could be a firmware problem. few things ive tried downloading are only for 1.1.3+

I want my SendSong app back but its been upgraded to a 1.1.3 beta version...and im staying on 1.1.2 until a decent firmware is released

Amen. No need to go up from 1.1.2.

My sendsong still works perfectly fine. You must of updated it when you had 1.1.3 and then downgraded your iPhone to 1.1.2?

And I wouldnt try something Beta, normally upgrades are dodgey enough.

im on 1.1.4 and have no issues with the apps i have downloaded. Most have issues as they dont have BSD installed from what i can gather

thanks for the help guys i have downloaded a few aps now but when i try to download then "send song" it says somthing about getting the firmware ? not going to try faffing around with it just so i can have a new ringtone :y:

But.....

you know the slider when your phone is on lock and you have to slide it along to unlock mine says "dan's iphone" and "Im hard" when im turning it off! as this is a second hand one somehow he has set it to say that?? any ideas how i can get rid of this???:wacko:

Install Customize if you dont already have it.....

Scroll down to 'Springboard Strings'

Scroll down to bottom of list to where it says Unlock and it should say next to it some text, mine says "Slide to unlock"...just tap and ammend the text to what you want....

Or at top of that page you can click revert to backup which will set them all to factory standard..
