Ok, I've been talking about getting stuck right into my car for a bit now, but the weather hasn't allowed me:n: I managed to get 2 hours today and considering all the time I got before it rained again I'm pretty impressed if I may say.
Here's what i got done:
I washed my car using the 2 bucket method
Dried and left in the sun for 10 mins
Used Intensive Tar Remover on the lower of the car
Meguires Scratch-X'd the swirly bits
Polished with Meguires 3 step system and my Dads machine polisher
Here's how it turned out!
Look at that reflection lol

No more tar spots!

I even managed to give my engine bay a quick clean

Good effort Jul :y:
Did you use a sealant or wax and what products did you use on the wheels?
Jules

I used Meguires Crystal clear polish & Wax.
I didn't get a chance to use the sealer cos it rained. So thats only 2 coats on it just now. I used Turtlewax Nano Tech wheel cleaner on my wheels but didn't get a chance to polish them.
I normally wash it twice a week and polish it with Meguires crystal clear polish and wax sealer.

youll be alright as the polish wont be aggressive and by had youll take a year to take the paint off, you just dont need to do it all the time.

I dont have a pc yet. Boohoo!!
Thinking of getting the Meguires one.
I just polish it using my Dads Halfords machine polisher or by hand and i dont use anything abrassive on it, im too scared!!
I realy want to clay it, but im a bit worried it will go horribly wrong.
I need to touch up my rear bumper where some lovely person took the paint off to the plastic. I bought a spray paint from Citreon and a laquer but how will i get it smooth? This pic shows the damage....

clayings easy peasy. just doing a proper job does take a long time. sonus green is a mild clay which is good to use.
you mean round the edges. it should be ok to give it a go. you wanna clay and paint clean before hand to get all the shit off though

Yeh the edges look like the paints just been ripped off. Its ruff and flaking, my Dad said i'll have to smooth down the edges with some sanding but i dont want to incase it scores the plastic cos then the scores would still be visable once painted:panic:????? I dont know im panicing about it lol
