maguiars ( sorry about spelling ) scratch x is great, £8.99 from halfords and does the job, its NOT a cutting agent so doesnt f up your paint!

Yeh I would agree!! Have a look at my pics I posted yesterday. I have a silver vtr too so I know how annoying any marks are!!
I had some light hazing on my lower doors due to driving up gravel roads every day, I used scratch-x and then polished and waxed it with Meguires step 2 & 3 and the results were good. Have a look for your self lol
Hope this helps

You need a cutting agent that breaks down from the starting compound and actually removes the swirl tho dude ;)
Scratch-X is a cheap product that will mask those swirls but you should get some Menzerna SSR 2.5 from www.cleanyourcar.com and with a bit of elbow grease and then a layer of sealant/wax should remove the defect and protect your paint from further damage buddy :y:

lol dont start on me :(
the front is down 40mm ish and the rear is standard just other things keep getting in the way before i can lower it!
tempted to do a boot install before i lower the car! lol so lowering will wait till may day pay now :) but it will be done!
what would be the best thing to use to apply this with?

Haha sorry man :p
Plans sound good but i would get the lowering sorted first as the ride must be cack and its pretty cheap to just get the torsion bar adjusted anyways.
Well if your set on using the Scratch-X then i would apply with a foam applicator pad or MF towel but you could also work it in by hand...
Work it in then leave for a while following the directions on the back before buffing off the excess :y:
