what size alloys?

what size alloys do you rekon i should put on my 1.1? ive seen some nice 15`s. but im not sure if they will look to big. (please be honest)
also this might sound daft but if i put 15`s on my saxo will it look even higher because theres bigger rims on there. or will the rims make it look lower?
i havnt droped it yet, thats for after the alloys. smileys/smiley2.gif

i'd slam on 15's mate. there's a really nice 1.1 on 15" white wheels round my bit, and it looks sweet smileys/smiley4.gif

that pug looks sweet, did you take the rub strips off? before you droped it did it look ne higher coz it was on 15`s?

it didnt have rub strips... it just had a sticker i peeled off... i got hold of some gti/qiky arches and put them on myself

looked the nuts, but i blew it up!

i countersunk some screws in and filled and smoothed it off..... also used some glue to keep it flush

thanks mate... i wanted to do something different... would have looked better if the bumper strips were sprayed white.... i was gonna do that but car went bang before i got round to it...

i werent toooo annoyed yeally. it was old and nackered really. 1993 L-reg and has 108,000miles

i brought it with 83,000 and did over 20k in a year n a bit.... loved that car!

caused me a lot of trouble tho... i werent devistated, just sad

I had a brand new 1.1 last year.. is ur a MK1 or MK2?? Anyways… … I had 15”� on mine… there is one problem tho… if u don’t bend the rim under the back arch’s up then the wheels will rub when u have 1 or 2 ppl in the back so be careful… im at work at the moment when I get home ill post a pic of me old car if u want??… it wasn’t lowered… it didn’t look too high…!! Oh and also the petrol pump thingy rubbed sometimes… if u get wat I mean! smileys/smiley4.gif

yeh... mine was a phase 1. looked terrible when i brought it....

yeah... when i first put my rims on they rubbed with people in the back or when i took a sharp corner... i rolled the arch lips and that went away... only scrubbed a tiny bit every no and again..... when i took the angle grinder to the arches i cut away everything that came near to the wheels (except the fuel filler pipe of course) and it never scrubbed again, even with a full car and shopping on the boot!!

It used to be well annoying at 1st cos I liked to drive… but after a while it was a good excuse for me not to drive when we went out on the Pi$$ hehe… Now I got no excuse not to drive… cos with me VTR and me 15”� alloys I can fit my nan in between the wheels and the arches… hahaha smileys/smiley17.gif
