as above im thinking of dropping a vts lump in my car but i dont have PAS i was wondering if i got all parts from scrap yard would it be easy enough to put in while engine is out???

Yeah it's easy to fit.
Need:
PAS rack
PAS track rods and centre bush
PAS fluid pipes
PAS column
PAS Pump
PAS wiring to fuse box inc relay
That's it iirc. I can supply pipes, column and wiring if you want, no rack or pump though.

what is the centre bush? and column? how much would you be after and are they new?

The centre bush is the bit that connects the track rods to the steering rack. The column is the bit that connects the steering wheel to the steering rack.
The bits i have, £20 posted?

you dont need powersteering.. stick with out you will regret it if you PAS up.. im desperate to get rid of mine..
