I've seen nice Lupos but at the end of the day that front is like looking at a frog and the back is just ridiculous!!! besides if you want to have ICE in it you can't have any rear seats!!!!! (I should know)!!!

ray, just to let you know that i went to the surrey modified meet lastnight where over 40 cars attended. was an amzaing turn out. shame you, westy and sassy couldnt make it.

but i convoyed over there with my mate who has a black lupo gti and all i can say is WOW!!!

he has an '05 reg. at the mo as a kinda of courtesey car as his one is having an audi tt lump (220bhp) put in it.

a couple of things i found out lastnight about the lupo:-

1. standard they are 126bhp, where i thought they were 120bhp, and
2. as of this summer, no more lupos will be made. so, if you did want a new one, you better think fast.

not necessarily true. in some cases, its cheaper (insurance wise) to drop a vts lump in a vtr rather than buy a vts straight out.

i agree with westy, no point buying a nearly new car then changing the engine!?!. as for insurance, a vtr with a vts engine will cost roughly the same as a standard vts to insure, and in some cases they'll ask for an engineers report, so not really cheaper at all smileys/smiley2.gif

yeah, it's a 1.6 16v. they're no bad wee cars, BBS alloys and center exit exhaust as standard,, but not sure i'd have one over a saxo, and i certainly wouldn't rip it to bits as soon as i got it to put in a TT lump in, i'd just buy a TT in the first place. smileys/smiley2.gif

it will eat a VTR with ease Westy, and the venom one up there ^^^^ is possibly the nicest lupo i've seen so far!

of course a lupo gti would whip a vtr, but i reckon it'd be a close thing with a vts mate! especially through the corners. i also think one thing the lupo does have over the saxo is the nicer interior, but the saxo is nicer looking imo smileys/smiley4.gif

Altho the lupo is still very tempting my funds wont quite stretch to letting me get 1, and seen as ive come this far with the sax im gonna stick it out for another couple of years.Ive had a good week and the smile hadnt come off my face untill yesterday when i washed her and again my angel eye filled up with water!!! But it was a good sign because we now actually know where the water is coming in from. smileys/smiley14.gif Altho majorly annoying that i no that my angel eye has got tape across the top of it to stop water getting in at the mo, the tape is hidden by the bonnet. smileys/smiley2.gif Just waiting for Gaz to get back to me before i do anything with them as Ultra might want to look at them, hence why i havent silicone sealed them myself!! Also yesterday i put my new Citreon sport pedals on that once you have straightened the standard loud (accelerator) pedal out are very easy to fit. Thanks Al for your help! smileys/smiley4.gif

Ive drawn up a plan that all kicks off when i get back off holiday that begins with finally getting the interior matched up!! (How long have i been talkin bout getting this done??)Im gonna put her into a bodyshop to get her touched up (not in that way you dirrrty lot!!) then enjoy her for this summer as she is.

The plan for winter is taking shape but im gonna keep my cards close to my chest and all will be unveiled next summer!! smileys/smiley2.gif
