engine light on dash...

...was visiting my car at the bodyshop and went for a drive just to run a few cobwebs out! engine light came on and wudnt go out, i obviously turned off and started it up again but its still there! i looked up my handbook and it says consult citroen...but fuck that - thot i d ask u guys 1st!

do i need to worry? wot shud i do? the car feels fine to drive, no jumping about or anything so...i really dont kno! its pissing me off bigstyle

Could be a Lambda on its way to Lambda sensor heaven. ermm.. you say to blow out the cobwebs? If its been standing for a little while, just try resetting the ECU (take batt off for couple of hours) and see how that goes.
If you're that worried about it , you could get a diagnostic check done.

wel wen i say cobwebs....i mean a weeks worth!its not had a lot of action for the past month or 2 really! its a pain gettin anything done to it now as its in the bodyshop, but i think il hav a mate look over it just in case.

is there anything else it cud b? coil pack? injectors? any other sensors?it needs servicing in a few months, but sounds like xmas is coming early for my wee darling - dont like her feeling under the weather!

the light's never came on before thats y im a little concerned, but i kno wot the electrics on saxo's r like! so i wont hold my breath eh! cheers by the way al, very dependable u r! smileys/smiley2.gif

may be worth running some redex through it bud. Or doing the usual filters/plug changes yourself.
