Alrite guys,

i have recently got a JVC AVX11 DVD headunit and learnt that if you wire up the handbrake cable to a negative earth then it will play dvd's all the time,

i was experimenting with wires and acidentially pressed the light green hadbrake wire against a bare one coming out of the back of the headunit and now it wont switch on! it will still eject cd's and the front will still fold down and the blue lights behind the buttons come on for a second when you fire the car up however it will not turn on! i have checked the little blue fuse in the back of the unit and it is still intact,

have i shorted it somewhere and if so has this destroyed it! please help because it is so annoying not having any music!

cheers,

sam

it will just be the fuse blown mate, heck the one in the fusebox and the one on the back of the headunit might not look blown but just replae it just in case :y:

if its not that then it could be a loose connection and if its not that then take it to an car audio repair shop and see what they can do for you, chances are the internals may be damaged
