Mine will go up to £270 a year in 2010. What a liberty. Like it's going to affect the shit arse roads of the uk more than now. Bet Gordon Brown will still be ferried about in his Taxpayers petrol thirsty jag though.

I'm lucky tbh. My Type-R is a Jan 2001 model, so I miss the massive increase by only a month or so. So its 185 until 2010, which is less than my old VTS lol... ATR's registered after march 2001 will be paying 430 in 2010, while mine will be 200 lol!

you were insured at the time so your old insurance company should still be liable to pay out. I had a letter from the highways agency 2 years after i crashed into a motorway crash barrier and owed them over a grand. Just gave them my old insurance company details who sorted it out for me

I'd love for the Government to have to release at the end of every year the amount that have actually spent on what "Road Tax" is supposed to go towards...

We don't have "hypothecated" taxes in this country, ie road tax spent only on roads etc, it all goes into one central pot and is distributed according to need.

I just searched a vts for me, and it came up at 2010 for £200. Where does this £300 come from? Though £200 is bad enough for me lol.

Because your car is made before march 2001 I think
Anything built after that gets hiked up for some reason
