Hi there. Question on behalf of my brother. What car should he get- 26 years old, just bout to pass his test, got bout 8k to spend he says something thats nippy and looks nice. Thanks:y:

very open question buddy, i mean does he have any family does he travel a lot does he need space for passengers does he want a new car or a second hand one etc..... i mean could get a fabia vrs 1.9 tdi sporty and diesel with 5 door if he commutes etc, could get a twin turbo supra even or an evo 5
maybe a clio sport 172 or 182 i mean if he just passed does he wanna be sensible, is the money for insurance too or what?

He just needs space for himself and one passenger wants a second hand car but overall something thats nippy!!

civic type r if it was me.
Nippy and also love the look tbh, although they are very common now. but most cars around that 8k mark always will be

personally i would probably go for a golf or an A3, as i have a golf. excellent cars.
there are too many cars you can buy for £8k for us to suggest.
we need more specifics.
does he want something quick/sporty. or slower and more comfortable etc

cheaper than a vTS to insure?? What are the performance figures of the non turbo impreza anyone know at all just out of interest tbh?

I'd be looking at the Evo's & Impreza's at that age! ...but realistically seeing as he has only just passed he may aswell look for a 1.6-2L car to keep him going for a few years, then get a sports one when he has more road experience :)
