only when driving means its most likely a wheel bearing or driveshaft.

you sure its nothing daft like loose nuts and bolts lols
saxo's like to shake themselfs apart now and again lmao.
driveshafts, head gasket and rear axles are the most expensive replacement parts on a saxo :).
your dad should be able to do it if he has done a punto before people forget most cars are all the same its just the layouts are a bit different.

we have just been for a little drive in it and think its something to do with the clutch as the release bearing is very noisey and also this sound goes away when the clutch is put down

Jack the side up with the noise and see how freely the wheel moves
put one hand on top of the wheel and one one the bottom and see how much play is in it.
TBH it defo sounds like a wheel bearing

it does the normal like squeeky noise jus on tick over but when driveing along sounds liek ur in a bloody factory wit machinary lol

If its squeeking when stationary it isnt wheel bearing or driveshaft for sure, on idle if it squeeks and then you put your foot on the clutch it goes away then yes for sure its release bearing.

Kit costs around 60/70 bucks. Its 1>2 hours work max for someone knows what they are doing. Really all depends where you go mate. Big corporate places will charge you big moneys (quoted £300 for my VTR at MrClutch!), where-as a little independent will perhaps charge you £150 or so. Shop about. Don't go to Citroen unless you are really desperate!
