kinda think this is the right section (its a chassis realited question)

im looking about at cages and ive seen a few i like
but 1 has bars that go through the bulkhead to the upper strut mount
is that going to make the car too rigid for every day use?

plus how much extra wrk would it be to get it in (ie cutting the bulkhead out ect)

its not like your going to be driving on private roads lie you do on track so tbh it doesnt really matter tbh i prefer one without cutting into the dash

ill move this to problems and queries as its kind of a query :y:

yea ok man sound
im not too fussed about my dash tbh
all the 1s ive found go through it anyway lol

was just wondering about the 1s that go to the struts tbh
i kinda like the idea but i think it might be overkill

ok theres a few options here...

the omp bolt in cage will go through the dash

the old version didnt, but finding one of them will be like finding the excrement of a mythical one horned horse.

if you want a bolt in version which doesnt go through the dash, then get the SD saxo version, which is a new one i think, and available from AB motorsport. however, they are very expensive.

if you want cheap(er) then either get a bolt in OMP jobby, which will require you to cut your dash, or get the full on weld in 19kg jobby.

you dont need to fit the front triangulation parts for that, but they certainly wont do you any harm whilst on road - all stiffness is good stiffness.

if you want to see how the front triangulation fits in, go to ssc, and search in the projects section for dave_p - he's got the 19kg fitted and it looks the nuts :D

ok man thanks ill have a look about

yeah you should be able to.

allow a lot of time for fitting it, the omp's do come slightly bent and will need some persuasion :D

if you want perfection get a sd, but you have to pay for it :D

while im at it, have a pic of my omp weld in 19kg

WRONG! OMP do a 10point dash dodger roll cage which can be bought from demon tweaks

No they dont, as i rang up demon tweaks directly and they have to 10 point OMP dash dodgers in stock, for a saxo, and i made sure for a saxo.

Dont think he is guna say they have them for a saxo if they dont now is he
