Seems a little odd tbh, im 23 this year and I couldn't imagine having a 16 year old GF. Yes it's alright to look at the school girls etc. but would just be weird taking her to the youth club and the school disco tbh. See if she's 12 years old its much better, they dont go the youth club yet so can have more nights in together, and dont have to worry about her s*cking off lads behind the sports hall at school.

Age means nothing.
But when the person isnt legally able to still do things in life it puts a strain on the relationship.
Also the fact she is still young and a teenager means the changes of maturity is slimmer then say a 21+ year old. Later in life age means nothing but while one side of the relationship is still on power trips and getting a 'buzz' for gettin served beer and cigs i would stay well away
Peejous

Probs would tap it, she's an ok looker but as mentioned could you be assed wtih all the shit, shes young and immature a relationship to you might not be a relationship to her, and eman the same
But then on the other hand she could be mature and not be the slaggish type etc, and want love, but i don't know her, more pics ftw like ;)

I would agree with this statement! :y:
At first my Dad was raging and tried to stip me seeing Scott cos of the age gap but now it dosent bother him, Im 23 Scott is 30. It sounds worse the further back you take it (like when i was 7 Scott was 14) but you get over it with time!!

But when the person isnt legally able to still do things in life it puts a strain on the relationship.
I'm 18, and my girlfriend is 16, 17 next month.
Even though i'm still pretty new to the 18-so-no-restrictions lifestyle, i've got into the habbit of pubs and clubs etc. She never thinks she'll get in so never wants to come.
It does make it a bit harder sometimes, and hell, our age difference is minimal!

Its not just that. But like someone else said. When they learn to drive, start going on holidays with friends it all changes. They get a glimce of freedom and stuff.
Luckly i killed my single days from 15-18 when i first started going clubing. Come 18-19 i had enough of the single life, lads holidays and getting messy most nights of the week.

Ok, i cant say anything as i went out with an 18 year old when i was 14....much to my parents worst nightmares (and no, nothing like that happened until i was old enough!)
I dont see anything wrong with there being an age difference. Some younger lassies can get to 'into' a relationship when they are that young...might be harder for you to go up the town etc if she cant :)
I know i hated when my ex went up the town and i couldnt go with him

lol didnt know what age you were thats why i used a 27year old as an example! Thought you were older than 19 - happy birthday then when it comes!
It dosent matter what age you are but how mature you are, i was about the same maturity level as Scott when we met lol thats why it worked. Exactly, fortunately my girlfriend has been out and had her freedom before we started going out, much like i did.
I cant imagine how awful it would be if she suddenly got an urge for freedom and decided that she wanted to go away with her friends, or wanted to go to town clubbing etc.
However, you could get this at any age difference, people mature at different times. Hence why couple with say a 6 year age gap, like a poster in this thread, can survive and be so happy, if you click you click i guess, often regardless of situation or age.

in all honesty theres not a lot left in this world that bothers me. i simply wanted to see what all your opinions on the matter was then i would know what other folk would think when they seen me with a 16 year old lassie. as long as i know the general veiw of folk i t wont bother me, its the unknown that annoys me, people that dont say things to my face and cower away.

Age ain't nothing but a number.
My mate is 29 and has just got with an 18 year old and she's a great girl. I take my hat off to my mate for pulling such a decent young bird tbh.
I was going out with a woman who was 5 years older than me and had 2 kids, one was 10 and the other was 12... Wish I was still with her at times... had a brilliant relationship and I got on really really well with the kids too.

I agree its about maturity but at the end of the day a 16 can be however mature they are still fairly restricted as to what they can do, and IMO that can hold things back.
My sister has just turned 17, her bf is 20 soon but she got with him just before her 16th bday. Caused a few probs with my dad when he found out. But they are still together and are thinking of moving in together in a year or so time. So it can work.. but there age gap isnt too large. She also looks alot older and doesnt affect them going out or anything like that.

cba to look at all the posts but i would say... depends on what your both looking for.
If its an actually relationship then i would say go for it, but just remember they usually get jealous easier/quicker and the whole not going out 2gether to clubs n stuff.
But for a fun time (unless she is really willing) i would say no as the youngr they are, the more open there heart is. They'll end up saying they love you and your kinda stuck... then parents come after you with pitchforks and grenades because you done a runner lol
