Hi all, i have strange problem going on with me new speakers, i have just got myself some 13cm Infinity Kappa 52.7I, iv installed dynamite sound deading around the speaker openings, now the probem im having is when i screw in the speaker, and turn it the headunit i get a quite pop from the speaker and now sound comes out any of the speakers, but if i un-screw it from the door the speakers work fine. i have gone around the wrie connections with electrical tape to make sure its not earthing. Anyone had this before??

You screw the speaker in, but when you turn on the H.U its pops??

Well it's from when i turn the ignition key, i get a little pop sound, then nothing.

But you can make them work by unscrewing them or something??

Sounds like there is a wire shorting out on the back of the head unit maybe...

Nope just pluged into the standard cables

sounds like shorting is your problem

i know you say you've taped the connections but double check them and tape the door panel itself aswell (edge of speaker hole)

mine were the same but fine now :y:

Yer, it must be something shorting out.

Tape up everything behind the door card, and if that doesnt work move to the head unit side of things.
