Unless your on trade insurance or willing to pay 2k+ TPFT then you cant have a VTS at 18 mate. Gonna have to pay more than the cars worth for a years cover or work your way up like the rest of us ;)

yeah i dont mind being tpft, im sure ive been looking around the forums and seen people say they've been insured at 18

TU-Tuning

yeah but theyre either on trade insurance, paying stupid money or daddies paying for it. Only one I know of that isnt paying loads and paying himself gets stupidly low quotes because he lives in a really nice area

you already bought the car without sorting insurance?

risky that one.

try admiral and bell, add both your parents as named drivers and this should bring it down a load.

other than that mate pay 2k+ or forget it

Try getting a family member on the insurance. ive got my insurance down to 650 on my 2 tone VTR and only passed a yr ago, 1yr no claims. fully comp with Elephant.my mum is on it just as a named driver knocked the price down alot.

I think your dreaming mate!!

Im 19, with a VTR. £2400 tpft with quinn direct! Thats the cheapest i could find, and trust me i tried!!

Im in a good area, with my mum as a named driver, however, i have declared, lowering, air filter, alloys & zorst.

A VTS would just be crippling!

that is just stupid money.

why dont you just get a smaller engine and wait a few years?

im 22 now and been driving 3 years with 3years ncb and can only just get a vts but not for a decent price on insurance cos i live in such a crap area. hence the reason im gonna drive the 1.1 for another year

alexsmith
28th April 2008, 21:07
