i dont have sympathy for people getting charged for getting overdrawn most of the time.
If you dont have the money for something dont buy it. quite a simple way to not have financial problems really.

so a mate has never lent you money for a while then you have to pay it back? or even your mum and dad?

if you read the news properly "Thousands of cases currently on hold in the county courts will be frozen until 22 May, by which time the banks must decide whether they are going to appeal against the ruling."
Any additional High Court hearings after that date may further delay those claims.

It started with my Ex constantly wanting to buy random crap which she didnt pay for she used my card, then i got charged, which ment my wages wouldn't cover bills etc and more charges then it just kept gettin out of hand.
Needless to say I dumper her, and have been in the black ever since. The bank we're charging me £150 every time. You saying thats fair?

before i was earning yes. But that was before i was 16. when i generally didnt spend any money anyway.
Mates i dont borrow money from no, unless its on a night out and theres no cash machine, they get paid back within 24hours.
as per my statmement, dont have the money - dont spend it. Simple really.

Mine is still on hold yes, but it doesn't hurt to give them a phone call chasing them up, otherwise you'll get put to the bottom of the pile.

As per my comments its easy to manage your own finances why i said i dont have sympathy with MOST people, as its usually self inflicted because they cannot engage their brains before buying anything.

BUT as with most students, dont have the money. dont go out on the piss so often. I get tired of people at my uni whinging they have money but they happily go and spend £50 a night on the razz...

I have to agree with Ryans comments, people are jumping on the wagon here. If there is a chance of getting money back fair enough, but who's fault is it in the first place??

yep, when you take out a loan from a bank you pay a percentage rate interest. so effectively as the overdraft is a loan its intrest.

Depends what industry and what sort of maximum salary you want to get really. I want a role as a DBA or a software engineer, which you really need to study. Although I taught myself alot of the stuff.
PL/SQL FTW
anyway lets drop the education hijack

There is only one Oil industry lol but lots of different sectors in it. well eventually i'll be hoping to run my own company so the best way to do this i would say is by gaining experience and learn the industry. My work are putting me through a modern apprenticeship so i will have the Quals aswell :)
