13cm in front 10cm in the back, you will struggle to find 10cm speakerssmileys/smiley17.gif

In all honesty save some money and buy front components and an amp to power them you dont need rear speakers in a saxo

Ok... So its 13cm in the front and 10cm in the back?

Well if i go with the parcel shelf i will stick some 6x9's in, and not worry bout the rear speakers...

definitely 10cm in the back.
i've not bothered replacing mine - just got front components as Scott said. I've not even got an amp to run them off yet and they already sound fantastic !!

i'm definitely converted - no 6x9's for me !

whats right with them would be a better questionsmileys/smiley17.gif

A lot of people like them but personally and in a hell of a lot of other peoples opinion there is no place for them in a system.

They dont do bass, they dont do mid at all well and the treble is scratchy. If you want bass get a sub, if you want mids and highs then get components.

component speakers break each part of the sound into appropriate ranges, these ranges are then sent to the correct component of the speakers, highs to tweeters, mids to mids. By doing this you dont have a mid trying to play high notes while trying to play low notes at the same time. BAsically the speaker only plays what it is supposed to, so it can play it louder and clearer than a normal coaxial speaker. Also with a coaxial speaker you have the tweeter part on a stalk coming through the mid cone. by having this your losing surface area and rigidity in the cone so it cannot physically move as much air and the cone is more likely to distort easily.

phew. and thats in simple terms
