power steering

iv just fitted a new power steering pump and it worked ok for bout half hour now it keeps cuting out n cuming back on iv checked the wires n they seem ok. any1 no wots wrong

Possibly got air in the pump, could be that everytime the air comes through it stops but then gets pulled through and is ok again. I'm not 100% but it's an idea.!!!

Yeah could be air in the system like already stated, could also be lack of steering fluid if not checked and could be the connections, I know you say they seem fine but check if they are corroded and just clean them up if they look abit shite.

I know this is probably a bit of a stupid thing to ask but did you put all new fluid in when you changed it all around and drain all the old fluid out.

Refill the resvior and turn it lock to lock , untill the bubbles stop appearing , top up as required then all should be gravy
