My engine light is constantly flashing and I cant figure out why, I thought it might be due to only having half an airfilter, however after looking a bit closer, I can see the air filter is there, just the intake pipe doesnt reach all the way to connect to the rad. See pic below, red line indicates where the pipe stops:

Would it be best to take it for an ECU diagnostic check, I hope its nothing serious!!

Ive only just bought it so havent got any experience with Saxo's unfortunately :-(

Really you'll need to have a diagnostics check purely cos it could be any number of faults, it'll save you time and money!!!

I might get this done in the first instance, it couldnt be that the ECU just needs resetting could it?

Whats the worst case scenario of a car that drives, sounds and appears to be functioning normally? An iritation from the orange blinking light? ;-)

I dont think the car is de-catted mate, ive just bought it and want to keep it as standard as posslbe!!

I have taken it to a garage and they have plugged it into their diagnostic equipment to find out that the coil pack and spark plugs needs replacing.

How much for a new coil pack do you reckon and from where?
