Had the 2001 1.1 desire saxo a few months now, never got a book with it though.

It was about 7500 next to the spanner until the other day when it suddenly came to 0 and now the spanner is always here and flashes when i start the car.

I also noticed at about the same i noticed i have a slight oil leak, nothing major but getting it checked out tomorrow.

But will the car know when it has a problem so the spanner things comes up, or is the spanner thing purely for service only?

If it is for service only why is it jumping from 7500 straight to 0? :panic:

because it will have detected the Time span i.e 9000 miles or every year or whatever the service intervals are.

Cheers guys.

So in no way does this indicate a fault anywhere in the car?

Also, how the fuck do i change the time? :D Ive messed around with the 2 sticks around the clocks, cant seem to find the combination to do it.

I think yu have to have the ignition on but the car not running and then press the stick in until the clock starts to flash.
then you can adjust the time.
I forget every time they change the clocks and have to sus it out.
I'm driving one tonight so I'll find out for sure and post it up.

Ive got the same car as u mate lol.The time stick is the one on the right, press and hold it until it flashes and then change the time and leave it to stop flashing- the ignition has to on. The spanner icon does not mean there is anything wrong with your car it just needs a sevice. Hope this helps.
