i have a mk2 vtr and i am havin problems. when i am in neutral my car revs all the way to red line when i do not have my foot on the accelerater. i am havin to turn my car of when i get to lights and roundabouts then restart when i can go. has any one else had this problem or does any one no how to fix it?

Idle control valve perhaps or maybe coolant temperature sensor... could be a few things i suppose
