Smashed Foglight & MOT Tuesday

Ok, so i have my MOT next tues, but ive got a smashed foglight, is it a failure or not?

Ive been told foglights cant fail MOT's, but i just wanna make sure, as my mate said i could borrow his light just for the MOT.

I'm pretty sure there will be no problems, just take out the smashed one if you want to be 100% sure.

Mine went thorugh wit a smashed one and they didnt fail me on it

Mine had a smashed one last year and passed, no worries.

Id just take em out for MOT mate, could go either way and its a 5 minute job to remove em and replace em afterwards

Front fogs are not part of an MOT so will go through without a problem.

However if the condition of them is dangerous or detremental to the safety of your car they could fail it on that. Nothing a bit of tape can't sort out ;)

if the smashed one does not work id just remove your fog lights until you get new ones.

you dont need front fog for mot only rear. And the only reason for failing as someone mentioned before there must be no sharp edges so just tape it

Cheers guys, ive removed it completely now as it still had bits of sharp glass around the edges.
