i will continue to work my notice period, ending **the date**

i would like to take this opertunity to thank you for the support i have had during my employment, as well as the experience i have gained.

something like the above, or you could just google it, im sure there are loads of templates on the net.

dont burn any bridges at the place you are at now, it always helps to leave on a good note, incase it goes tits up at the new place ;)

good luck

as stated above, just walk into the office and say youre handing in your notice and its been a great experience working for the company etc, no need to close doors behind you.

cheers for all the help / advice people, much appreciated.

its a good place to work but the main boss is a complete tw*t & finds every reason to have a go at me due to me being the youngest here (the next youngest is like 32, me being 21) they just show no respect or appreciation of what i do. not going on as if i should be worshiped lol, just a thank you wouldnt go a miss. very much doubt he'd give me a pay rise, pretty much 1 of the reasons why im leaving because where im going to is an extra £4k a year plus the new job opportunity for progression is really good. sending me on a day release course that costs over £5k. at the moment im just doing cad work & its boring the arse off me & ive been offered to get into the design side of things (electrical engineer/designer).

but yeh, thanks again for all the advice & everything! much appreciated :) :y:

its all about how you feel at work

if you dont feel right, why stay ;)

go for it matey.
i would miss out the boss is a twat bit. lol
just say you are leaving as its a oppurtunity that you cannot pass at this time.
just say that it has better oppertunities than you have now, along with better money and the chance of further education.

remember, that once your notice is in. you are still under contract and that you are not allowed to be treated any different, if you get any jip, you can still get them done for it ;)

i hope it all goes well for you matey, good luck

yeh, been here almost 2 years now & at 1st seemed pretty good but the last 6-7 months its just been sh*t, nit picking at anything - im late by 5 minutes 1 day (there was an accident coming to work & got caught up in all the traffic) & he gave me a written warining for it!! its just silly little thing that that you you just cant be doing with at work, you spend 8-9 hours 5 days a week there & if you're not happy you shouldnt be there.

haha yeh, would be best if i missed that bit out. to be fair there's a few of them that are alright but there's a few 'snakes in the grass' & most people are completely 2 faced.

i know but im sure he'll find a way round it, he's a c*nt like that lol. but still i might play my face & they'll hopefully do what they did with my mate when he handed his notice in, he wasnt exactly not doing his work but he was just "taking his time" & they just got pissed off with him so they just said to him go home & he say around at home for 2 weeks while they still paid him, because they still have to pay you in your notice period dont they?

& thanks again mate for all the help & good lucks, will have to buy you a drink sometime if you're ever round lol.
