How do you allocate tickets?

Radio 1's Big Weekend is held in a different place each year - we were in Preston last year, and Dundee and Sunderland before that. We always give preference to local residents, so tickets in the general ballot are allocated randomly, but weighted in favour of those living in Maidstone, Kent and the surrounding areas- a smaller amount will be distributed nationally.

So did I and I live 6-7 miles away!

The Girlf's parents registered and they live in Maidstone, but haven't recieved anything..... but it says on their site that the confirmation emails will be sent out by 2nd May... so there is still 2 days to recieve the emails!

We are very sorry to say that unfortunately you have not been allocated
tickets for Radio 1's Big Weekend through the ballot.

Over 518,000 people applied so you're not alone.

Don't totally give up however - unless you opted not to be considered for
any competitions, we may still phone you in the week prior to the event. We
have a small number of tickets remaining in our Radio 1's Big Golden Ticket
competition and we will be randomly selecting contestants from people who
registered.

Quite annoyed now, that someone from Ashford got tickets and I didn't!!!!
