was driving... then i wasnt! all electrcs still working and engine turning over but not firing. AA couldnt find problem but mentioned something about crank arm monitor?!?!? any ideas...

my first thought was the fuel cut-off switch, but surely the AA would have found that?

but the fuel cut off swtict only works if u press the swtich urself, i doubt it that he opened hsi bonnet,climbed out n pressed it himself n den sat bak in his car smileys/smiley17.gif

the fuel cut off does not work by pressing it. It is triggered by the jolt of an accident. the ball bearing type device in it may have worked loose and cut the fuel. Check your fuel filter as well. Mine popped off and could i fuck figure the problem out until i heard the petrol splashing all over the road

that hapend in my old car and it was just the fuse to the fuel pump that went,so try thet mate.

Similar thing happened to me..
Turned out to be the earthing point on the top of the gearbox was loose and making poor connection..
Put a big washer in there and tightened and jobs a good'un.
ah sound boys thanks a lot - had to take it to garage in the end and after diagnositcs had gone through it all, etc, etc - ended up being the fuel filter and around £200... foook!
