Do the towel trick tbh, will get you about another 10 days play time.

Plus run it horizontally not vertical. I find this eases the wear etc on the console laser and componants.

They will probably just replace the thermal paste between the heatsink and the chip, that seems to fix most problems with the dreaded ring of death.
