i have a switch on my amp that says phase then on the left it says 0 and on the right it says 180 wat dose this switch mean and do

i think its to do with witch way your sub is facing,front or back!!

i have 1 with a 1 farad power cap sounds mint!!!!! won 2 comps with it!!!

yep mines the same its just if the sub is facing the boot or urself usally if you have a good headunit u can alter it more!!!!! wat sort is it 1600watt 1????

It flips the signal the opposite way so if it was moving up then down after the phase button is pressed it will move down then up.
Its handy if you have other speakers in your car that are capable of producing low harmonics. If you have two subs press it in as it the subs will be producing the same harmonics and canceling each other out if you reverse the phase of one you will double the amplitude of the sound:y:

^^Correct!
Its similar to switching the polarity of the speakers round i.e. positive and negative, however, the control on the amp allows precise adjustment.
