i learned to drive in a xr2i!!! lol

How old are you? ;)

Mind you i love the XR2's

Yeh round here we have a black Focus, 18" chrome alloys, tinted windows (I mean about 70% on the back) and there is an induction kit in there aswell.

Looks gash mind, just makes me laugh all the chavs saving up the extra pennies to drive it, and they are stalling out on the junctions. Hardcore.

I learnt in a Suzuki swift 1.3 diesel.

Needless to say, it was slow

i dont mind the car they learn in, its the instructors that shock me. i saw one instructor jump 3 lanes to get to where he wanted and almost knocked over a cyclist in the process. makes you wonder the quality of their students when they pass!

I saw my instructor riding the curb the other day, pretty appauling, as i always thought he was a good driver.

First car I learnt to drive in was an 05 Reg Fiat Punto 1.9 Turbo Deisel
Then my instructor changed to an 06 Punto same engine size.
Then the last one was an 07 Reg punto with a 1.3l Turbo Deisel but with the same power as the 1.9's and it had a 6speed Gearbox.

And I drive a 1.1 Petrol engine car, but I have driven my Mum and Step Dad's Fiat Doblo and thats a 1.9l Turbo Deisel.

The biggets I've ever driven is one of the Burnett's 8 whell lorry's, just drove it round the feild last year when we were packing the far up, there a pig to move as you've got to wait about 5-10 minutes for the Air to build up to relase the brakes.

Average price around here :geek: gone up since then too, and Northants is meant to be one of the hardest areas to pass due to variations in speeds on certain routes far too often-or something anywho...

I had 3 different instructors (Due to me being lazy and not putting in for my test!)
The first was a horrible Micra and the instructor was pretty rubbish really. The second was a diesel new shape fiesta and then my 3rd one was a mini cooper which I passed my test in. I'll never forget my instructor driving me home after I'd passed. He wheelspun out of the test centre, nearly went into a car whilst he was too busy talking to me and not paying enough attention to the traffic ahead... he also had to brake pretty sharpish to not get caught by a speed camera!
Think I paid £19 an hour, was well worth it though, the second and third instructors were part of the same company and much more professional. I had a diary type thing which logged my progress and any areas to improve on.

Well the Sandbanks area of Poole is I think the Third most expensive place for Propety in the UK, so that would explain why there's people Learing in Jags and MR2's.

There's a guy up the road from learning in an M5 BMW.
