T'waz payday last week. Not only was i not paid my OT for the month i was also placed on emergency tax..
The company i worked for was recently bought out hence all the problems. No 1 was paid OT but it seems only myself has been placed on gaybar tax.
Question is, once i fill in the form and its completed. How am i refunded the tax i over paid? Does it go back into my bank the month after or am i charged less tax the month after or what?
HR are crap here so dont really have anyone else to ask. Need some advise as this month im down to the tune of £300.
Thanks

they put it back into your account in a lump sum 1 or 2 months later. Thats what happened to me. When i was over taxed though it was put in bit by bit
It will be sorted out via your PAYE. You may have to wait a while though.

Ask you HR team for a loan? and then they can take the money out when it arrives?

Its not that i need the cash. Its just the fact im down £300 and if i get this again this month (end of may) means i will be £600 outa pocket.
End of this month i have car insurance renewal and my holiday so could do with not been outa pocket lol
im still owed about 300-400 from my old employers.
employer said speak to tax office, tax office said speak to employer.
still owed it now lol.

its a piss take to get overpaid tax back! ive been trying for the last 6months to claim back £750
if it was last financial year you get that little tax slip thing saying about tax, you write to them and enclose a photocopy of the slip saying you want your tax back right fucking now, obv a bit politer, if its been this month and new finiancial year let them know and i believe that they refund it back via your PAYE as Vidal said
