ok a question for anyone who has had successful compensation claim:

the third party insurers offered me £1200 for an accident injury, my solictiors have received my letter informing them i'm willing to settle for this amount and have informed the 3rd party insurers, my question is how long should it take for me to receive the cheque?

:)

however long the solicitors told you. Did they not give you a date?

I've been waiting 3 months and counting for a cheque to come through from soliciters

just depends on how quick the whole process has been tbh, my whiplash settlement cheque was rather prompt and received it 2 weeks after bein made that offer but im still awaiting my cheque from my accident in jan, you should ring up the solicitors to speed things up a little

Iv been told they like to hold onto it for as long as possible due to them getting the interest on the amount whilst your waiting around like a tw*t. How true that is I don't know but I wouldn't be suprised

well solicitors told me about 2 months ago that the 3rd party had 3 months in which to make and offer and send out a cheque, i've been told they'll try and keep the money in their bank until the very last day of the 3 months as they are earning interest on it and are tight bastards, will give solicitors a bell if i don't have my dosh in 2 weeks then. :)
