Nice cars, dont hold money too well. Not very quick for a 2.0. Nice toys, being ford its going to rust.

i have seen 2006 model ST's for £7-8k with about 18k miles on the clock. not a bad looking car but i was put off since it doesnt have a foot rest next to the clutch. yup rust will be an issue as underneath is still primer only so a good shot of waxoyl will go a long way.

i heard they changed the materials they used to use saying goodbye to rust...

You can get an 05/55 plate one for £6k now - some do have tiny rust issues, but nothing too serious.

Not as powerful as they could be, but it is the only car I want atm lol!

They do still have rust issue's..

Read a few horror stories about the MK6 Fiesta's (ST shape)..They tend to rust on the inner wings within weeks of buying from new and i have also seen MK6's with underseal litteraly falling off the bottom..

Kcsaxo - They are fully undersealed underneath, just like the saxo but the metals that are used aren't treated like in Citroen's so rust will occur..

Just treat um yourself then and you have an awesome car aint hard MARIO lol

You shouldnt have to treat it yourself though, its like a brand new car, you dont buy a car and then have to underseal it or whatever..Thats why you pay Ford for the car as they should have built it properly..

hmm was looking at a C2 VTS earlier and i really liked it, not as fast as the ST mind, not a whole lot in it round a track though but its alot cheaper on insurance and i think it looks just as nice anyone got any good information on the c2 VTS?

I like them and tbh, ok for a 2.0ltr it isnt quick, but tbh who here has traffic light races, you can only go as fast as the speed limit anyway which is usually about 80mph tops.

(your permitted to do 80mph when overtaking a vehicle on a motorway:P)

Anyway theres to many cameras and undercover cars about now to be able to use the power :P

Yes its ironic that im saying you dont need a quick car and i own a vxr, but i got very lucky picking my one up otherwise the ST or a clio 172 was on the cards ;)

Exactly lol, im starting to sway more to the C2 VTS, though lacking in power compared, it makes up for it in the insurance group its in and it is quite a good looking car, plus its alot safer then the saxo allround so its a still a step in the right direction.

as for the corsa vxr, i know how nice they are inside and to drive if i could afford one id be down vauxhall dealership in the morning

just bought 1 great car the rust problem have been sorted and they are and you put an indutcion kit and exhaust will get around 15 bhp extra they could be quicker off the mark but to make that happen you would have to loose all the luxorys which make the car like a/c elctric mirrors digital dash and so on i picked mine on friday if your buying from a ford dealer like i did you pay 8.5 to 9 grand for an 06 facelift model loving every minute of it
