I have a ripspeed cd/dvd player with the 7" screen and it says in the manual to use the dvd player, eg to watch a movie i have to connect the lead to my parking brake.
Does any one no if i can do this without connecting this because i no on the newer models you can do it in the settings menu but cant seem to do it on this one.
I know its illegal to watch a movie while driving wich would be rather stupid but with my son in the car he likes to watch the movies and i dont fancy pulling up for him to watch a movie, ha ha.

You just need to earth the cale mate. I.e. bolt it to a screw on the back of the head unit.

The handbrake switch is just a switched earth so if you earth the lead it will be on all the time.

I did have the 920i but the amp inside blew so i had no sound so when i took it back they said they no longer had them models in any more so i swaped it for the next model down the 720i and got 150.00 refunded to me for the price differences.
