View Full Version : Sky...
I don't know if I should be bothered by this, I am a little confused myself so sky buffs help a brother out.
I got sky last month with the basic channels, paying 21 pounds per month.
Now I had a mate round last night, we were just flicking through the channels and he hovered over sky sports so my response is it won't work blah blah. I tested it before and I deffo needed to pay and upgrade a tear.
For some reason I now have the whole sports package...., is this because the footballs near an end or something? or have sky fudged up because if they have I arn't paying them for it.. I've checked all my direct debit details and it's still only charging me 21 pounds as well..
phone up and ask them, whats the deal? Spit ur dummy out if they say they have charged you, then ask for compensation of some sort!
check movies aswell mate u might have got the tester "sky world" package. if not keep it shut and only ring em if they charge u more. sky are the worst company to work 4 thats y i quit!!

They may have given you a free trial of the whole package as your a new customer and hope that you forget to tell them you don't want it at the end of the trial.
Give them a ring to find out if they have and when the free trial ends, I think it's usually three months.
I got all movies except the box office ones,
Thing is if they have made a mistake and they are not charging me... if I ring them I am going to loose them all and I like sky sports now. I'll be fudged if i'm paying 40pound a month for it though lol

Some times they give like full package for like 1 month or 2 when signing up, then knock it down to the correct package.
Giving you a taster to what its like, and it seems to have worked :D lol. Fuck paying like £50 for all the packages though.
keep stum untill u get charged. then ring em kick up a fuss ask to be put through to a department called turn around to 'cancel' and they will do u some great offers.
half price sky world for a year is a good en thats wat ive got hahaha

If it is an introductory offer I think it more than likely Sky will increase your payment rather than reduce the package to what you asked for originally - they rely on people not being arsed so easy money for them.
I would definately check when the offer period ends if it is an offer.
virgin media seem to be doing good deals atm, check them out if you want all the channels.

Seriously tempted to have away with my Sky tbh.
Only channels i watch are what are on Freeview anyway. Although i do watch Sky1 and MTV but all the stuff on there can be aquired else where on demand.
Tempted to scrap it, i know its only like £21 a month but least its one less DD on my account lol
