hmmm he's not home long enough to benefit from it maybe... waste of money until he can reap the full benefit if you ask me
mattwesty will put it into a wall, he liked to crash vts!!!!!!
viper - cant justify 11k on a car that will just sit in my garage, like said if i was home all the time and normal job i would have one no doubt!!!
great to drive as well really enjoyed it, dont get too many looks from people really apart from all the honda drivers whose necks almost brake, although parked outside my house a few porsche drivers had a good luck

Doubt it, he doesn't even dare park it in a carpark, let alone take it onto a track lol. :P
lol white ones are nice with white wheels, but i do love that car in black

Theres also a nice blue one around town too (Matts not happy, but he's a foo').
Oddly enough, I've never seen a black one. Does look pucker, but I stand by my idea in the photoshop section! Would look mint tbh!
not seen your idea, its not red wheels is it?!
never seen any in darlo, seen one in pompey, i like the blue colour but black wins for me

jdm dc2s are a shade under 200bhp. uk ones are less iirc.
would hammer a clio because it has a lsd.

the jdm dc2 integras have different maps and a better manifold that the uk ones, hence the extra 10bhp. in fact, here is a site with all the changes http://www.type-r-owners.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=42820
the clio was a small family hatch made to go fast, whereas the integra was designed to be fast. your money will be my money...

Wrong Clio trophy was designed for the track
Its a hot hatch not a family car
And if you were to buy a dc2 the 98 spec JDM is the best
small family car did make me chuckle. You can hardly fit a baby seat in the back lol.

The double headlights are UK spec, the longer single headlights are JDM imports.

correct me if i'm wrong. is it not based on this?
http://www.555800.com/pictures/Ad_3384_1.jpg
i'm not saying that they're bad cars, i know they handle well, but on a track against a dc2 integra it has no chance. i doubt that you've had a ride in one, cornering speeds are ridiculous with the set up they run.
They are the same car man, but they have massivly uprated suspension etc.... and thats not a small family car.

i know, they have a minted suspension set up, the main selling point of the car. but it's never going to be in the same league as a dc2, that's all i'm saying :)

Thats what Leeroy was saying, the spec to go for would be the JDM 1998 spec. I prefer the looks of the imports anyway.

I have been around cars long enough to know whats good and what not's
Yes i have been in DC2 UK and JDM and a DC5, bloody good car
Used to own a clio cup and my next door neighbour has a trophy so I know what i can do
You have to drive the teg hard to get it in the vtec and this will also be hondas problem, smaller nimble cars to have earlier power delivery will always get it

wrong model teg. think you'll find that honda went to pretty extreme lengths with the dc2 including extra spot welds and a more rigid chassis than the regular integra.
you also state you have to drive it hard to get it in vtec, that's no bad thing. on track you will always be in vtec, just as you'll always be in the powerband at high rpms in other cars.
as good a car as the clio may be, it will never worry a dc2.
leeroybrown
8th May 2008, 11:49
Teg still started out life as a family car as you have pointed out about the clio
Obviously live in a dream world you lad if you think a DC2 has nothing to worry about
