my mates on skylineowners forum which are organsising a petrol and tax protest in london near houses of parliement.
block roads in area and demonstrate that us as british citizens won't stand up for the goverments crap.
We are the ones that hold the power not them.
Lets show them what us motorists are about and stand up to these bullies and kill joys in arms.
these can be done anywere in london really but dates and times because we want everyone from saxperience to come and if anyone is part of or knowsomeone part another forum then spread the word.
Our time to have our say is coming.

Iam thinking of augusty sort of time?

u know i been up for one for damn ages even though im not driving atm but i can imagine what its like as me bro owns a bmw m3 on a 08 plate and his paying 308pounds for road tax and when it comes to fuel dont ask as his always at the petrol station lol and its the same situation with other family members too but most ppl on this site drives saxos so thats like max engine size 1.6 and thats nothing big until we get to the real things and at that stage the petrol, tax and insurance might be so much we would be better off walking !

it don't matter how big your engine is,rip off is rip off, everyone is paying like 1.16 a liter.
and tax is stupid really,no justification.
We can't sit on our arses any longer and twiddle our thumbs with our heads in the sand.
WE CAN DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT.
but it takes everyone to get involved.

but this is what me dads saying he said even if the goverment took the fuel upto like 3 pounds a litre no one would give a shite as everyone needs a car on a daily basis i know what ur saying and i know we lot are getting ripped off at the same time but have u noticed not everyone is bothered theres only a few hundred ppl out there maybe other than that the ppl think its ok which is really weird

people won't keep paying it because we won't be able to afford it.
britain so far has bent over and said do us up the bum,the brittish people have no back bone,no other european country would stand for it.
lorries would block roads.
ITS TIME WE SAID NO,AND NO MEANS NO.
Anyways i don't know why your against it.
just put your name down and help ourselfs and stop being dictated to.
were meant to be a democracy.

my names down for a road block in london.

Iam getting proper pissed off the more i think about things.
All i fecking hear day in day out,TV,radio is charitys run in this country to help other countrys.
All i hear is the goverment saying were going to save the world, fight all the wars, give all the answeres to global warming, terror is coming etc etc,yet the goverment can't even do the basic of things like protect our shores from illegal imigrants and general imigrants.
The goverment can't even get our own people out of poverty.
How the feck do we afford to help others.
schools hospitals NHS has all suffered from the iraq war not to mention much in need of improvement public transport.
Stop helping and fighting other countrys and use charitys in this country to help the people of this country.
Stop benifits top people who have no illnesses, medical issues etc,if the doc says your healthy to work, you work if you don't tuff.
The whole system is worked to against the average working citizen.
i know that your probably thinking whats this got to do with petrol and tax but it all adds up.

we do more for others we have to pay for it,thats taxes and that includes petrol tax etc.

You should be the PM :y:

i wish lol.
This country would be so different.
we'd have more drag strips and tracks and wel encourage chavs to race there cars if they think there so good.
borders will be more secure.
imigrant control will be enforced.wel have just the people we need.
the everyday worker will be taxed less and the lazy fukkas who have nothing wrong with them will be forced to fight for the right to be a uk citizen.
I would cut this torrorism crap, someone threatens us?wel be the first to move, but not send 1000000 of soldiers in,just one bang over and done with.
i will find some remote island for all the do gooders, tree huggers etc so they can ruin there own lives.

now put your name down for this lol.

2nd highest costs in the world apparently

not being funny but weening ourselves off fuel now means a hell of a lot less shit for us in the future... serious here.

Although I agree that i think the government hasn't really thought it through properly nor actually gives much of a monkeys about the future and our way of life.

yep democracy... but... if we had uber cheap fuel say 1p per litre of something daft.

how would we fund our great, ultra clean, NHS?
how would we beable to bail out our highly efficient 'private' rail operators?

ok ok I'm being synical here and not really putting out a good argument. but additionally we'd be consuming a fair bit more fuel than we currently are... do you occasionally think to yourself 'do i need to drive? can i just walk it?'

if you don't then the prices need to be higher. if you do then it's working and you're using your car less.

it's a bastard but we've had it good for a while now to be honest.

haven't heard anything back about the bill yet :)

but it may just make a difference showing the goverment that WE wont bend over backwards for them.

Atleast then i can say i tried TBH.
Cant wait when i move out of this not so 'great britain'.

This country is like a dumping ground.
What pisses me off is that goverment don't take responsibility.
the public have een bought up in a way that they think what goverment say is true and no one can fight it.
public don't think they can make a difference, well if that was true why the hell do they spend thousands on publicity come voting day?

NO JOKE! how are people supposed to live! get a train or bus? oh yea because they are putting the prices of them down and making service better so people use em?/ NO! they put the prices up and keep the service how they want it!

We have never had it good, the government is always trying to help out other countries and hasnt realised what a state their own country is in. And no-one is saying fuel tax has to be cut so that the nhs and (shitty) public transport cant be funded, but why cant they just reduce fuel prices down to something more reasonable like 85p a litre.

No other countries are going to give 2 shits about what happens to the environment so as far as i see it we are saving our petrol to be used by foreign countries (such as america)

As for your views on driving, it may be fine for you living in the middle of a city and being able to cycle everywhere or get the bus but what about everyoune else that doesnt have access to public transport and cant just get on a bike and cycle as its too far away?

Cutting back on fuel... wont do us any favours as the other countries will just use up what we are trying to use wisely... we dont all drive round 5ltr v8's do we.

Have to agree with you there its just fucking stupid. The government wastes far too much money funding pointless wars and helping out 3rd world countries. I cant see the point in doing this at all when they pass the cost of it onto us. I personally as a student do not want to be paying so that achmed and his family can come over here, take out jobs and drag our country down further. government needs to sort its act out tbh

whole country is fucked TBH and anyone disagrees or neg reps me then your prob a retard or a laboure goverments arse licker or an asylam seeker.

Again I agree with you but I doubt much will happen soon because the typical british mindset is to bury there heads in the sand (just like some of the contributers to this thread) people either cant be arsed or take the "im only one person what can i do" approach to everything. Too many of us are just accepting what the government tells us to do without questioning the reasons behind it

wait a sec after what i been readin i come to this.

Skylines parked up outside the goverment.

SKYLINES!!!!!!!!!!!
they will linstantly say oh look the real fast n furious crew are here to spoil the day hahaha.now if the cars where range rovers, bmw's etc then yeh ok but skylines will make the matter worse as all they will say is they want the fuel cheaper so they can race around like idiots (type skyline in youtube) and that answers itself.

plus reaosn out tax is so High is we are not part of the Eu so the goverment can charge what the hell they want as they dont have to follow no special EU code crap thingy.

last bit most of england (not scotland) fuel comes from over seas we actually have loads of fuel but its not been brought out the pipe lines as we are keeping it as a back up plan sort of thing when fuel runs out all over the place lol.

Gabbastard
8th May 2008, 11:55
America+fuel prices going too high = boycott. Result, cheaper fuel.

France+ fuel prices going too high= blockade by lorries and farmers. Result, cheaper fuel.

Britain + fuel prices going too high= keep buying it, the public transport system is wank, too many people commute and theres an overwhelming need for cars. That, coupled with the bend over and take it attitude of the British means the prices are just going to keep going up, regardless of market circumstances.

I was referring to just the fuel taxation... sushhhh about the other stuff :P

whole country is fucked TBH and anyone disagrees or neg reps me then your prob a retard or a laboure goverments arse licker or an asylam seeker.

It's not fucked, it's just reality.

I know I'm coming across as some labour loving arse licker, who loves to see people struggle to make ends meet... but I'm not, I'm an arrogant, i guess, conservative arselicker in my actual views. I'm sure if I'm a retard though... debatable maybe...

but the fact remains... super taxation or not. We're fucked if we continue to gobble fuel at the rate we're doing it, and we can't do anything about it. Fuel is finite not infinite.

We've had it great for a long time, we've successfully shat all over the middle east and the 3rd world for their precious resources and now the honeymoon is over. if you can't afford to run your car... get a cheaper one that you can afford to run

what's that?
'nooooz butz I wantz faaaaaast carz'

tough shit. you want a fast car, pay for it. accept the costs involved and stop complaining. every other person has to pay as well, you should be thankful you have the luxuary of driving a car at all. Because before long we won't be have this luxuary.

Secondly, yep there is a lot of taxation but you can't avoid the fact that the OIL PRICES themselves have gone up... fuck all to do with the government if the price per barrel has hit record highs.

What's that?
'Da Illigalz imigantz r stealin' ur jobz'

are they fuck. if they're illegal they can't technically get a job. yep ok there's been a lot of busts where illegals have been getting some shadyass jobs but on the whole you've got nothing to fear unless you're a drug baron or a prostitute. What about 'da fuckin polish'... they've realise how crap and racist our country is so they're going and we can get back to having useless english plumbers, electricians and bricklayers who charge us extortionate hourly rates for what appears just them scratching their arses for 95% percent of the time, and can't speak any better english than the pols.

the massive downside though and I'm being deadly serious now... with all the fit polish lasses leaving we're stuck with the classy munter english lasses. so actually you're right, this country is fucked. I'm joining the polish...

I work with them day in, day out. They're class. fact.

right so take off 30p per litre... so you know how many litres of fuel are sold per year?

no neither do I (i did once but I'm a loser)... anyway it's a lot and that'd be a few £billion off the government coffers.
where do we make up the deficit?

Mainland Europe is way ahead of us which is why they're in a better position than we and that's why people like me and you are complaining currently.

As for your views on driving, it may be fine for you living in the middle of a city and being able to cycle everywhere or get the bus but what about everyoune else that doesnt have access to public transport and cant just get on a bike and cycle as its too far away?

move closer.

Become a doctor, work for the NHS and take 'achmeds' job off him then.

Again I agree with you but I doubt much will happen soon because the typical british mindset is to bury there heads in the sand (just like some of the contributers to this thread) people either cant be arsed or take the "im only one person what can i do" approach to everything. Too many of us are just accepting what the government tells us to do without questioning the reasons behind it

no you're thinking that the government is doing this to be a cunt to everyone... remember they can get voted out if you don't like it... which you dont. why the hell would they do it then? why havent the conservatives or anything other crappy party said

'wait a massive fucking tick..... we can win this election by saying we'll cut fuel prices....!!!!!'

easy peasy, they'll win the election. why havent they thought of that?
because they can't and unlike you dude, they realise there's a bit of a massive problem going to bite us on the arse rather soon (10 years soon anyway)

happy motoring :)

We're not part of the EU? When did we opt out.

we are only part of hte Eu in certain areas.

hence why we dont use the euro and we still have sterlin if we was fully part of the eu we would be using euro's as our main currency.

I must agree with DJawsome,we have survived with lower petrol tax then before.
we pay more tax yet nothing is improveing.infact its all getting worse.
they say crime has gone down,so why have the goverment put MORE officers on the street haha.
if it has come down why am i hearing about more killings, muggers and overall more crime?
people who get life should do life,if there aint room then kill them, slowly and painfully and view it on tv so that any other scummy twat thinking of doing something sees it and it may make them stop.
This country has got to be harder on certain things and more relaxed on others.
I say bring back death penalty, other says oh no because the wrong person may be die.
Well that puts my faith in the legal system.NOT.
someone said it costs more to kill someone then have them alive in prison?
killers, rapists, perverts etc etc etc, give me a ficking axe and there body and il kill them for nothing.
If theres a problem someone surely sorting the problem is best, but this goverment seems to be blind by this idea.

To the people who say if you want to go fast you got to pay,but what about the normal everyday person?
you wouldnt really buy a diesel to go fast although some are,iam just saying, yet diesel is higher then super unleaded.

get a smaller engine or something with more mpg or drive better :)

really you're making out like we live in Zimbabwe or something. the grass is always greener imo. Also, don't believe everything you hear in the papers or news....

no news, means no newspapers, which means no dosh for the newspaper companies. they'll write about anything if there isn't a bomb going off in the middle east or something. just because you hear about it more doesn't actually mean it's occuring more...

ads :)

move closer.

So your telling me that because there is not a lot of public transport around where i live, that my parents should sell the house and move somewhere closer just so i can get on an overcrowded bus/tube/train whatever?

Wow what a sensible idea. NOT

That, coupled with the bend over and take it attitude of the British means the prices are just going to keep going up, regardless of market circumstances.

that is EXACTLY IT.. lock thread thats all that needs to be said
