I have just started looking to buy a VTS, so have been scouring the net for one. I came across this the other day, but when I actually viewed the dealers website, I came across this.....

Caution: mileage on recorders of used motor vehicles may differ from actual total distance run and must be disregarded. The mileage is not guaranteed.
How is that so?

sounds like it may have been clocked somewhere along the line mate.

maybe its their way of saying it might still be being used and the mileage might be higher than advertised?

The size of the wheels maybe? They are alot bigger hence would have gone further than the recorded mileage?

Something clearly isn't right. My Mondeo is advertised with 76,500 on the clock, and still being used, but when it goes, it's not going to much more than advertised, will give them a ring and see whats what.

It does a little, but a few changes here and there would have it looking sweet. I love white cars and is a white VTS I'll be holding out for.

I agree with the white. Definitely the best colour. TBH i would never buy a modded car though. Its almost definitely been ragged.

You're right, I would like to start with a blank canvas so to speak, and only want to make a few subtle changes, "less is best" IMO.

Just emailed the seller for some more info. There are 3 colors I like, white, red, and after seeing a progress thread on here, black, but it's a white one I'm going to hold out for. Thanks for the heads up though.

could have no service history etc or anything to back up mileage. its just a disclaimer that businesses use to cover themselves

replacement engine?
How is that so?
It could have had a replacement instrument cluster/speedo which would mean it displays the incorrect. The millage is normally checked buy car trader using the MOT certificates as the have the millage recorded on them each year.#
Basically he's not saying that the millage will be different from the one in the advert. He saying although the odometer on the dash states that the cast has done e.g. 60,000 miles it may have had the instrument cluster/speedo changed for a new one and done another 60,000 since..... which would not be good :n:

i went to car craft in the north east and the guy was telling me something like this
when the dealer bought the car they'd make a record of it. But if they then take it out on a drive and stuff, then it will still be recorded as when they first bought it, but is obviously not accurate.
What happened at car craft was they got a really nice car, and all the salesmen took it out for a spin. Over the year or so they had it they clocked about 5000 miles on it, landed them in alot of crap
might be the same sort of thing, or i could be totally off the mark lol
