I got 3 points doing 60 on the motorway, in a 50 zone, there was road works, funny thing was I was the slowest person and it only caught me, was in my mums car, so I werent raggin it at all. Pissed me off, lol

the police have a white van with orange lights on the top that parks at the side of the road and has no stickers on it!!!
i have always been caurght in the mid 40s when in a 30.
the CU30s where from a time i was cheaky to a policeman and he said i had 3 baldy tyres when i never!!!! smileys/smiley7.gif anyway thats a long long story and got me banned from driving! smileys/smiley13.gif but im ok now, touch wood smileys/smiley4.gif

you gotta be careful, they park on the side of the road/motorway. i even saw one last week parked on a flyover/roundabout, but it was parked facing the oncoming traffic!!!!! smileys/smiley7.gif totally illegal, the only way it could drive off was to go around the roadabout the wrong way and it didnt have any blue lights!!!! what a piss take smileys/smiley7.gif . they go to extremes to catch speeders and make money!! smileys/smiley7.gif

Was doing 47 in a 40 i think it was, cant remember. Was on the
motorway, going to the airport dropping a friend off!! something like

4 years ago i was banned for 9 months, got caught doin 109mph on the A92 Dundee-Aberdeen road. mega silly i know(before anyone says anything), i was in my old fiesta rs turbo, tryin to keep up with another mechanic from my work in his Nissan Pulsar. We both went passed a 5 series BMW traffic car, but my mate kept his foot down and fucked off leavin me in the shit. points are off now, but i got 3 points last november (44 in a 40) and another 3 in January (79 in a 70).

sp30 for doing 33mph in a 30mph zone and another two months later for doing 48mph in a 30mph zone. i got the first one in january 2002 and the second in march 2002.

the second one i was actually pulled over by a traffic car. they actually gave me 4 points and a £100 fine.

but can you imagine the situation when im pulled over (e.g. speeding).

at the moment i have a clean license. BUT, i think i got done the other day by a detector van, parked up at the end of a bridge, u are unable to see it till u are at the peak of the bridge! was doin about 35-40 in a 30 zone, so not that bad, just praying it didnt get me! (the van was parked in a bus lane too the sneaky money grabbing tossers!!!)

I managed to gain an SP30 3 weeks after passing my test for doing 81 in a 50. That was 8 years ago now, so they should have been wiped off my licence and also off my policy.... I've been a good boy since...... well maybe I haven't been a good boy... I've just not got caught! (touches wood)

yeah they stay on your licence for 5 years but only account for 3 or your insurance doesn't need to know about them after 3 years!

i got 3 points and a £60 fine for going 40 in a 30, got done by a mobile camera van back in august 2003 and they will be coming off next year, and i also got a sp30 (i think thats what it is) for going 58 in a 30! was overtaking two cars aswell but i didnt get done for that. ended up getting a 14 day ban and an £85 fine back in novemebr last year!! but whilst i was on my ban, i had my kit put on my car and i brought my sound system so i came out of it better than what i went in!! smileys/smiley14.gif smileys/smiley4.gif

are you sure about how long they stay on your licence mate?

insurance companies do vary but the majority ask for claims within the last three years and convictions within the last five.

Thats what the police man sed to me! and my insurace has not changed yet! but it will when i renew it i think! My insurace company said it will only count for 3 years and after that it does not make a difference! i think you may still need to tell them for the 5

you can apply to the DVLA to have your points removed FOUR years after the date of conviction.
