Hi Everyone smileys/smiley17.gif,
Got a problem with my T Reg 99 VTR. I recently had a new clutch fitted to it as the last one went on me smileys/smiley5.gif. Got it replaced and all was good, until now. Recently when i drive the car in 2nd gear, there is a loud vibration noise coming from the gear stick "area". This only happends when i come off the gas in 2nd or 4th gear. Its done 58900 miles what can this be??!! smileys/smiley13.gif

Please help.....

most likely the gear linkage loose or its hitting on the exhaust, or gear box mount is shagged and when its in 2 and 4 its sagging enough to vibrate on the exhaust, get under and have a look

good morning mates!!!
hi jimej you have to check the rear base.this base there is in the back of the gearbox.all saxo are cutting that base becous of the very quick gear changes.
i had the same problem in the past and i have replace the factory silicone base with another racing made by teflon it is called powerflex.this base is the same like the others.the only diference is the very small silent block in the midle.
you will gain some vibrations in the cabin but you will feel better!!!just try!!!
