Opinions??

Currently really loving old skool 80s/early 90s 911s, and theres plenty floating about at reasonableish cash.

Ok not the fastest things in the world but just think theyre mega cool..

tempted to see about buying one that needs some TLC and spending a bit of time getting a nice project.

just was having a chat with someone who used to own a 911 many years ago...

my current project track car hopefully will be done soon.. and the saxo is getting a bit long in the tooth after over 4 years of ownership, n kinda like the idea of something different.

the friend kinda wants to have a project one, lol

Find and Buy one then Give Kenny a race in his MR2, could be a close match.

Thing is Kenny's got to get Tyres first, then he can give you a race.
But I think a RR Car against a MR Car would be a good race.

Classic 911's are a slice of history, full of heritage, they're fantastic pioneers for European motoring. Would love one personally, if I had the time for mega maintenance.

tbh i think they're pretty cool. i always have a good look whenever i see one on the road.

although i think you need to be a certain age to drive one.

my gf's dad has one, he's in his 50's and i think it suits him tbh. not sure if i would drive one.

Awesome motors but EVERYTHING is mega expensive for them. I know this because a mechanic friend has a 1992 911 carerra

I would be tempted to try and find a run down porsche 356 to do up instead

We used to have a 993, loved it. I wanted a 964 but after seeing the 356 speedsters at a VW show i have decided i want either a pre 89 or a 356 before im 30.

Just got to get a permanent place of residence lol.

im sure it was these that were known as the grim reaper... cause they handled amazing but if you pushed it just a little too much it would kick its backside out and once it went, it went

im sure it was these that were known as the grim reaper... cause they handled amazing but if you pushed it just a little too much it would kick its backside out and once it went, it went

because the engine is mounted in the back too much and when it finally lost its grip, the momentum just swung it out,
that why on the newer ones the engine is over the axle instead of being behind it.

wouldnt be spending mega bucks if we went ahead with it. I really should sort my project and a decent road car before trying to get a classic restoration started LOL
