Well ive passed me final exam today, top of the class too woooohooooo
Also had to do my practical exam about 3 or 4 weeks back, passed with flying colours on that, basically plumb in and install a bathroom suite consisting of a bath, WC, wash basin and mock up boiler jig, heres some pictures

the bit of pipes round the bog were a bit awkward as i had to go up and over to clear the so pipe for toilets as the soil stack was virtually built into the wall, useless city and guilds grrrrrrrrr
the bathroom bays we work in are a bit old and tatty now off people drilling holes everywhere and burning the walls when soldering and not using a heatproof mat the retards lol
last pic is crap due to using the camera phone

this is only the first year of it but theres about 3 or 4 more years to go and i expect it to get harder going more into the boiler side of things and gas
but for now i can relax, weight off me shoulders and get myself absolutely in a state this weekend :y:  :drink:

there is mate dont worry :)
all the fittings were wiped clean anyway, any excess flux can cause corrosion ;)
only one leak causedby the doughnut on the cistern to the toilet pan, because we have to reuse everything on the appliances the rubber is badly perished

flux lol...my flux brush was always filthy from dropping it on site.
but usually you can see the silver solder fromt he joints....
i wish i had a picture of some of the work id done...my boss was such a perfectionist...even when id finished soldering, and then wire wooling the excess...he would make me use brasso just so any visable pipes where absolutly gleeming....
also how much do you hate when you lose the compression washer from those compression fittings...

Predator_R32
14th May 2008, 19:26
a bit of both mate but more paper work than anything else as you have to write up about everything you do in the practical
